PRITEC® is a two layer anti-corrosion coating designed to protect pipes used in oil and gas and water and waste water pipelines. PRITEC®’s side extrusion application method is ideal for coating small and large diameter pipes ranging from 4” (100 mm) to 145” (3680 mm) in diameter. This coating combines the proven protective qualities of a polyethylene outer coating with a special butyl rubber adhesive.

Tough, Durable System

• The tough outer layer of polyethylene combined with the superior adhesion qualities of the butyl rubber adhesive layer protects the coated pipe from the stresses of handling, laying and backfilling the pipeline.

Low Total Installed Cost

• PRITEC® resists most biological, chemical and environmental contaminants found in the soil, allowing for the use of some native backfill which can reduce the overall project cost.
• PRITEC®’s butyl rubber adhesive provides superior adhesion properties that resist cathodic disbondment minimizing the cost of cathodic protection requirements.

Diverse Operating Conditions

• PRITEC® coated pipes can be used for a wide range of operating conditions.
• Its excellent adhesion to steel pipe allows for field bending in temperatures as low as -40°C (-40°F) for low temperature transport lines to a maximum operating temperature of 80°C (176°F) for hot crude oil lines.

Long Term Corrosion Protection on Pipelines Up To 145” In Diameter

• PRITEC®’s flexible side extrusion application technology means that it can be accurately applied to small and very large diameter pipes ranging from 100 mm (4”) to 3680 mm (145”) in diameter.
